I bought this refrigerator in 2000, and yesterday it crapped out on me. Now growing up I can maybe think of our fridge going out once! and that unit was 20 years old even back then.
I talked to the guy that I gave my old fridge to and he said it's been working fine. Never had a problem. that one's probably a good 25 years old. Now days you can buy a TV, stereo, VCR or what ever and those things fuck up if you sneeze on them the old units you could drop a brick on and they'd still work!
A few months ago I saw a new braille righter the stupid things made out of plastic not good hard metal like my old one is!
so tell me is this just a U.S thing with companies making crap products or is it a world wide thing! I guess we all get it from China right?
hongkong isn't it? *grins* I think you're right though. i bought a fridge-freezer just over two years ago and I need a new one cause the freezer doesn't freeze properly any more. I have a computer that is 2 and a half years old and I've just ordered a new one because this one takes 25 minutes to boot up, so .. yeah, I think it's dead right, they don't make things like they used to any more.
Well of course they don'T make it that good anymore. Why? Because they want money. They want people to buy a new one very soon so they get money. That's the fact.
ah but not only that, now if you buy an electrical appliance you can purchase with it an extended warranty, just in case it breaks down. in some instances, the warranty is as expensive as the actual product.
